#1: The Luckiest Shotgun Build

  • Conditions: Double Barrel Shotgun, High LUCK, Critical Banker, Grim Reaper's Sprint, Four Leaf Clover

The simple Double-barreled shotgun maybe not, but this baby can become one of the deadliest weapons in the game if you pick the right perks. Customize the Double Barrel Shotgun with a sawn barrel et Calibrated receiver win a +300% critical damage bonus. Boost your LUCK to unlock Critical Banker, and you can store four insta-crits! Then there are even more perks that give you a chance to gain extra crits instantly. Combine the right perks (and gear, etc.) and the Double-Barrel can unleash +700% critical damage or more. The Double-Barrel is a critical machine, and finding a legendary version will make you an even more killing machine.

Take it Richochet advantage too. This causes enemies to (rarely) kill themselves with ricochet shots. Since everyone is shooting at you all the time, this boon triggers way more often than you might think.

#2: Stealth Shooter Build

  • Conditions: any silent weapon, stealth, ninja

If you have never played Fallout 4 with the sneak + Ninja Skill, you owe it to yourself to try this amazingly simple build. All you need is a silenced gun (I prefer the delivery man) and plenty of perk points put into Sneak and Ninja. Ninja increases the amount of damage you deal with a stealth attack, while Sneak increases your ability to sneak. Once Sneak is fully ranked, you will be able to hide anywhere while crouched and can even disengage enemies already in combat. Almost any gun can deal enough damage for instakills, but the Gauss Rifle with a suppressor attachment is the definition of overkill.

For an unbeatable Legendary Gauss Rifle, grab The Last Minute from the Castle. This thing comes with a suppressor! So you're already ready to stack stealth attack bonuses to the highest.

#3: Syringe-Only Build

  • Conditions: Syringe + “Syringe Review” Mod

One of the weirdest unique weapons in Fallout 4 is the Syringe. Eventually, you'll be able to unlock several weird and wonderful Syringe ammo types that cause mayhem – like the Globfly Larvae Syringe, which spawns Globflies from corpses. You can paralyze targets, blind them, or poison them with the Syringe. You can even cause Frenzy, causing everyone to bond with each other. If that's not enough, try using the "Syringer Overhaul" mod which adds even more ridiculous functionality. You can turn enemies into ghouls, disarm them, or reprogram a robot. And the mod makes it easier to craft a lot of ammo by adding bonuses to the chemist's advantage. Each rank multiplies the amount of Syringer ammo you'll craft, making it a much more viable playstyle.

#4: Full-Time Minuteman Build

  • Conditions"We are the Minutemen!" » mods

The Minutemen are the default faction you'll join at the start of Fallout 4, but their methods of spreading civilization can get quite boring as you progress through the game. To switch things up, try downloading the "We Are The Minutement ! mod – the mod completely revamps the Minutemen faction, making it more powerful and much less annoying. Immediately, this mod reduces the amount of Minutemen Radiant Quests you will get, increases the range of Flare Guns, and gains more control over your faction with the special command table at the castle. From there, you can create new Minutemen NPCs and send them to defend your settlements all over Boston. Stop rushing to defend your settlers from bandits! And you can even acquire Power Armor Minutement to support you in battle.

#5: Construire Crippler Spray n’ Pray

  • Conditions: Spray n' Pray SMG, Demolition Expert

Want to cripple everything you come across? Get the unique Spray n' Pray SMG from Cricket the Traveling Merchant. Cough the plugs because Spray n' Pray has a unique effect that makes every ball explode. Explosions deal stun impact damage, shatter heads, arms and legs ridiculously fast - and it's even faster if you increase your Demolition Expert Advantage, which benefits the Spray n' Pray. Don't forget to remove the suppressor which is naturally attached to the SMG. It's a weapon that's best used outside of stealth.

#6: Final Judgment Minigunner Build

  • Conditions: Final Judgment Laser Minigun, Nuclear Physicist perk

Just want to spit an endless stream of deadly lasers at your enemies? Want one of the most powerful weapons to do it with the cheapest ammo to cap ratio in Fallout 4? Next, you'll want to acquire Final Judgment. This late-game weapon can only be acquired from Arthur Maxson, so you'll need to use console codes or fight the Brotherhood of Steel to get it. the final judgment is an incredibly powerful laser minigun that uses fusion cores for ammo – each fusion core gives you 1 shots. To really get your money's worth, customize the Loading barrels inflict x4 damage. It's a weird little quirk in the way damage is calculated that makes this thing so strong.

Get the Nuclear Physicist perk at rank 2 – you will now get even more bullets from each Fusion Core.

#7: Idiot Savant XP Sponge Build

  • Conditions: Idiot Savant Perk

Here's a fun way to earn XP fast — just pick up all three ranks of the Idiot Savant perk. This perk randomly rewards you with x3 / x5 XP from any action, or x3 XP from any kill. The bonus can even trigger at the end of the quest. The lower your Intelligence stat, the more likely you are to get the reward – but the XP bonus still triggers, even if your Intelligence is top tier. XP is further boosted if you are Well rested! Unlock these skills and you can level up multiple times from a single completed quest. If you want to level up even more, just save before starting a quest, then reload until the x5 XP bonus triggers. You'll swim in extra perk points!

# 8: Construction Super Sledge Slammer

  • Conditions: Super Luge, Roast Yao Guai

Going for a melee build is pretty simple in Fallout 4. Grab a Super Sledge and go crazy with Strength. There's an additional wrinkle you can use to literally obliterate everything in the game with melee attacks - Rôti Yao Guai. This simple appearance +10 Melee Damage the buff recipe is actually buggy. Instead of giving you +10 melee damage, this gives you +500% melee damage. Learn how to cook the roast here and stock up because everything will die in one hit when you use the Super Sledge + Yao Guai Roast combo.

#9: Biggest Boy Build

  • Conditions: Big Boy Mini-Nuke Launcher, MIRV Launcher Mod

Want to irradiate the wasteland again? Love making ridiculously big explosions? the The biggest boy is for you. Start by buying the Big Boy Mini-Nuke launcher from Arturo in Diamond City. This weapon has the Two-Shot effect, so it fires two mini-nukes for each. Add the Mirv Launcher Mod to the Big Boy, and you now fire a grand total of 12 Mini-Nukes for every unit of ammo. If you think mindless destruction is the only way to live, this is the weapon you'll want to grab ASAP.

#10: Mind Control Expert Build

  • Conditions: Animal lover, Robotics expert, Syringe

Want to play as an illusion mage in Skyrim? Mind Control everything you come across with some of the game's ridiculously powerful perks. Animal Friend can be used on any animal in the game to gain an ally - yes, that includes Deathclaws. Robotics Expert makes combat robots trivial. You can hack them, make them passive, set them to self-destruct, or take control. Humans are much harder to mind control, so you'll need the Syringe to help you out - one of the Syringer induced Frenzy ammo types. the Automatron DLC includes a full-time robotic companion that you can customize, if you also want your allies to do all the work for you.

Reach ghoul rank 3, and even some feral ghouls will become friendly NPCs. Premium!

#11: Construire Chem Fiend

  • Conditions: chemist perk, chemical resistance perk, jet, psycho, buffout, jet fuel

Enjoy the wonderful world of drugs as a chemical cook in Fallout 4! In your first colony, you can build a chemistry station to start making all those weird and wonderful chemicals that give you bonuses in battle. Chems are ridiculously overloaded in Fallout 4 – instead of giving you more AP, Jet just slows down time. Now you can just act more often! Combine with Psycho and Buffout to become an unstoppable destroyer that moves like the Flash. All weapons work here!

Remember that the Chemist's advantage doubles the Chemist's effective time. Chem Resistant makes you completely immune to addiction, so you can take as many chemicals as you want without any of the nasty side effects.

# 12: Construction Rad Ruiner

  • Conditions: The Gamma Gun, Ghoulish, Nuclear Physicist

Spread radiation like the plague with the extremely powerful Gamma Gun. This gun can be acquired by the Children of the Atom faction in the Far Harbor DLC. This makes ammo a little sparse (something that can be fixed with crafting/cheating), but it's one of the funniest and easiest quick builds you can throw on the world. Due to the way radial damage is calculated, the Gamma Gun cuts through armor and kills tough enemies as quickly (or faster) than weak enemies. All enemies die if they reach 1000 rad damage, and with the right perks and weapon mods, the Gamm Gun can deal 400~ rad damage per shot. And rad damage cuts through the health regeneration of legendary enemies.

Add the deep dish weapon mod and the Antennas carrying electrical signals weapon mod to make the Gamma Gun even more versatile. With Ghoulish you will heal from all rad damage - just make sure you DO NOT take Rad Resistant. Ghoulish and Rad Resistant don't work well together. For even more rad-related fun, pick up the Atom Judgment Hammer to deal direct rad damage in melee range.

#13: Build A Powerful Pugilist

  • Conditions: Furious Power Fist, Iron Fist Perk

If you want to hit things, there's no better combo than the Furious Mighty Fist and Iron fist advantage. Take Swan's Pond's Furious Power Fist - The Furious Effect Offers +15% damage after each consecutive hit, with no upper limit on the amount of damage you can do. The counter only resets if you don't hit an enemy for 10~ seconds, or if you hit another enemy. It does not reset if you miss. Combine that with Force and Iron Fist, and you'll become a punching powerhouse that only gets more powerful with each hayfight.

# 14: Construction d’armes Willy Wonka

  • Conditions: DLC Wasteland Workshop, DLC Contraptions, DLC Vault-Tec Workshop

Tired of wandering? Why not focus on the most ridiculously elaborate and in-depth systems in Fallout 4. Build your factory of the future in Vault 88 and construct crafting stations for weapons, armor, and ammo. Throw materials into hoppers and create a wild automated factory, constantly producing some of the most valuable (or useful) things you'll ever need in the game. And you don't even have to leave! You can spend points on INTELLIGENCE and develop your craftsmanship, creating even more powerful things. Then you can sell it to vendors you have dropped off in your own settlements. If you haven't dabbled in the wild world of these DLCs yet, I highly recommend giving it a shot, even though they're ridiculously buggy.

#15: Power Armor Mechanic Build

  • Conditions: Gunsmith Perk, Heavy Gunner Perk, Nuclear Physicist Perk, Science! Advantage

Rely completely on Power Armor! Don't bring light or melee weapons - stick to the most powerful heavy weapons and make sure your character doesn't have the strength to use them alone. The point of this build is to challenge yourself - you're just a weak scientist/mechanic, using your wits to build and upgrade a power armor suit. When it comes to combat, you're a walking tank with a minigun, but without those precious fusion cores, you're toast. Ask the Nuclear Physicist to increase the duration of Fusion Cores and slowly upgrade your Power Armor as you progress – and don't forget to paint it in the flashiest color combinations for maximum energy.

#16: Brotherhood of Steel Soldier Build

  • Conditions: Join the Brotherhood of Steel

Skip the Minutemen, skip the Railroad, and go straight to Brotherhood of Steel for that themed style of play. Use the QG du BoS as their main base, only trading with the Brotherhood and sticking only to their uniforms/power armor. It's surprising how little time I've spent with the Brotherhood - and this time you can conquer the rest of the Commonwealth without wasting time on the colonies. To dig even deeper into the Brotherhood mindset, check out the “Ad Victoriam Brotherhood of Steel Overhaul” mod. The mod completely changes almost every aspect of the BoS, improving and refining the faction to make it even more powerful.

#17: The Institute Courier Build

  • Conditions: Join the Institute

Another roleplaying path players can choose that aligns you with the bad guys – simply join the Institute as soon as possible after starting the game. Put on a courier uniform and go on a hunt for synths while cutting a unstoppable band of destruction across the Commonwealth. Rely only on the Institute and use only gear acquired from the Synths: wear a cool armored coat, destroy the railroad and secretly hunt down the Synths while completing radiant missions from the Institute. Playing this way surprisingly limits your options and makes you feel like a real baddie. I've never messed with the Institute for too long, so here's a way to completely reverse the way you explore the Wasteland for part two.

# 18: Construction Gunslinger de Kellog

  • Requirement: Pistole de Kellogg

What to become a master of quickdraw? Get Kellog's Pistol - available at the start of the game - and slowly transform your character into an unstoppable VATS aimbot. Max output Agility, Luck, and get all the benefits of luck. Give yourself solitary journey, Pistol Fu, Penetrator, and Concentrated fire. Press VATS, and you're like John Marston in Red Dead Redemption… just tag your opponents and watch them melt away. This build is a bit boring, but you can change things up by using other western-themed weapons. Anything that is a bolt action rifle or a small revolver will work. Put on a cowboy hat and a feather duster and right the wrongs in the Wasteland.

#19: Metropolitan Survival Build

  • Requirement: Mod "Wasteland Gas Masks"

Want to spice up your experiences in the wasteland? Try downloading the "Desert Gas Masks" mod for Fallout 4. This mod makes everything deadly in the Commonwealth - much like the Underground game series. You can only survive on the surface if you maintain a gas mask. You'll need to repair and upgrade your gas mask as you progress through the game. It seems like a small change, but it completely changes the way you'll play. You'll need to think about where you're going and if there are any suitable pick up spots on the way. Enemies will die if they don't have masks equipped, so you can loot them to repair them. You can use a Holotape to drastically alter almost every aspect of this mod, so why not give it a try? It doesn't turn Fallout 4 into a hardcore survival game, it makes the wasteland a bit more dangerous.

#20: Sight Buy Build

Fancy a real challenge? Play Fallout 4 without buying anything. Don't upgrade your weapons. No crafts whatsoever. You can only use what you find. This style is best played on the hardest difficulty - this way you have to choose what ammo you carry, and you'll have to constantly switch playstyles as you won't have easy access to extra ammo for your specific construction. This style of play requires you to be creative and use whatever you find. Try! Trust us!

Fallout 4 doesn't have as many options as Skyrim, so we really had to dig deep to find them all. What are your favorite playing styles? I've always stuck with the Stealth Sniper - but there are so many other ways to play, and you don't need to play perfectly to smash almost anything in the Wasteland. Do you prefer challenging playstyles or do you prefer to jump into the OP from the start? Either way, we're always on the lookout for new ways to play one of our favorite games in the series.
