How to get the new villagers
There are many ways to access the 16 new villagers. And with the 16 new villagers in Animal Crossing New Horizons, there are a total of over 400 villagers in the game. Needless to say, finding all 16 new villagers can be tricky, but it can be done. Like any other villager, you can invite them to your island when you find them.
One way to get some of the new villagers is to restart your island. Let's just hope they show up as one of your starting villagers. If you don't want to restart your island, open up a new lot and try your luck for one of 16 out of 400 villagers to walk around your island. Both of these ways rely on chance, but there are other ways.
If you like to take your destiny into your own hands, go in search of the 16 new villagers. Travel to a new island using Nook Miles Tickets. Once you locate a new villager on your island, talk to them and invite them. Also, if you visit a friend's island and a new villager moves in, you can invite them to your island. While these are solid ways to get the new villagers, it will consume your Nook Miles Tickets, so be sure to collect them before you take off.
Another way to get new villagers that involves some luck is to talk and invite random villagers who arrive at your campsite, once you unlock it. And finally, players can purchase the Animal Crossing Series 5 amiibo cards that feature the 16 new villagers. It will be available on November 5 with the Happy Home Paradise DLC.
With the 2.0 update, there's a lot on the horizon for Animal Crossing. Knapp'n will take you to a mysterious island, the Brewster and Roost Coffee Shop are here, and Harv's Island will have various updates to name a few exciting new items. Stay tuned for more Animal Crossing: New Horizons guides.
