Return of the Fossil Pokémon Shiny Diamond Pokémon et Shiny pearl, with third-generation favorite Lileep included in the Fossil list. As in previous games, you will first need to find the appropriate fossil before you can bring Lileep back to life. In this guide, we explain how to find the fossil and revive the dormant Pokemon.

How to find Lileep in Pokémon Sparkling Diamond and Sparkling Pearl

Before you can get your Lileep, you will need to unlock the National Dex. To unlock this expanded Pokedex, you must encounter all of the Sinnoh dex Pokémon and beat the Elite Four. Although still a difficult task, you should encounter most of the Pokémon in the region on your way to becoming a champion, and once complete, head to Sandgem Town to receive an update from a visiting Professor Oak. .

You now have your National Dex and it's time to find a Lileep. However, if you want to add this Rock/Grass type to your team, you won't see any in the wild. Like other Fossil Pokemon, Lileep can only be obtained by first finding a Root Fossil in the Great Underground before taking it to the Oreburgh City Museum to revive it.

There's no way to guarantee a Root Fossil when mining Sparkling Spots in the Great Underground, but persistence is vital. The Root Fossil is one of six fossils available in each game, so you may very well find a Claw Fossil, Dome Fossil, or another of those prehistoric artifacts before you find the one you're trying to locate.

Once you have your Root Fossil, head to the museum north of the town of Oreburgh. Talk to the scientist at the museum reception and he will ask you for any fossils you may have. Then, put back the Root Fossil, exit the facility, and return, and your new Lileep will be ready to collect.
