The final legendary questline of Season 7 is now live in Fortnite, and a challenge requires players to mess up the mole's sabotage attempt. Operation Sky Fire is fast approaching and Doctor Slone needs players to stop the IO mole from interfering. The mole activated one of the bombs for Operation Sky Fire too soon, and now it's up to you to deactivate it. Here's how to mess up the mole sabotage attempt in Fortnite.
Fortnite spoil mole sabotage attempt location
The mole's sabotage attempt is located in Corny's compound. You can find it on the floating island in the southwest corner of the area with the green building. Once you land on the island, head to the IO facility and you'll find an exhibit that sticks out from the side of the island. You can also slip right into this room before landing if you want.
Along one of the broken walls in the room, you will see a round device surrounded by a blue aura. Interact with the device to disable the countermeasure and spoil the mole's sabotage attempt. That's all it takes. Completing this quest will net you 30 XP and allow you to move on to the last Legendary Quest this week, which is also the last Legendary Quest for the entire season.
After this quest, it's finally time to face the mole. Turns out Maven was working against Slone the whole time and was the mole within IO. Slone needs you to take care of her so the imagined order can unfold with Operation Sky Fire. The Season 7 finale event is happening this weekend, and you won't want to miss it.
Once you've completed your legendary quests this week, there's not much left to do before the end of the season. Just make sure you've unlocked all of your Superman cosmetics, including the Shadow Superman style, and be sure to max out your Season 7 Battle Pass if you haven't already. Don't forget to spend any extra Battle Stars you have and collect any remaining Alien Artifacts you haven't collected as you won't be able to get any more in Season 8.
Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.
