How and where to find high quality skins in Monster Hunter Rise
If you think you need to start preparing to take care of some big HR monsters, rest assured that you don't need to. The high quality hide is an easy item to farm by taking care of the docile fauna found in the two maps mentioned above, namely Kelbi and Anteka. Sanctuary Ruins and Frost Islands are your main areas to grind for these, due to how easily you can find them there, in sheer numbers as well.
After unlocking the high rank, any quest you start from the specific rank will automatically place you in the high rank version of one of the maps. Therefore, start one in the Sanctuary Ruins or the Frost Isles, and start looking for Kelbi or Anteka. Kelbi may be better for beginners as it has a 45% chance of dropping high quality skin. Regions 11 and 13 of the Sanctuary Ruins usually have some of these deer-like creatures, so head straight there if you want to save some time.
The Antekas, on the other hand, are found primarily in the Frost Isles, with Regions 1 and 6 having most of them immediately. However, the chances of getting the skins are significantly lower with an 18% chance of getting them. If you want to gather other items in the specific map as well, it might be worth grinding for high-quality pelts in the Frost Isles, otherwise Kelbi is the preferred choice.
