The $300 console bundle comes with a carrying case, screen protector, and special Joy-Con straps
The Nintendo Switch's first alternate color is... Mario Red & Blue! While Nintendo tried out the limited-edition looks, this is "the first time the Nintendo Switch console itself will be available in a new color."
The #NintendoSwitch – Mario Red & Blue Edition system has a distinct red and blue color scheme in honor of Mario's iconic outfit. Available from 2/12, it comes with a red and blue carrying case to help protect your system as you travel through those Warp Pipes! #SuperMario35 pic.twitter.com/Ke2bCBtPCf

Nintendo Switch Mario Red & Blue Edition will retail for $299,99 when it launches on February 12 – the same day we get Super Mario 3D World + Bowser Fury, which sounds phenomenal to me.
This price tag not only covers the red Switch and dock, but also red and blue Joy-Cons, fancy Joy-Con wristbands, a vibrant blue Joy-Con grip, and a character-themed carrying case. Maria. Oh, and a screen protector. If you want, you can find some photos – including one of the box – on Nintendo's website.
The overall design is a little too much - I can't with the blue! – but the red switch is nice. It reminds me of my beloved Flame Red Game Boy Advance SP which unfortunately is no longer with me. (In a recent fit of nostalgia, I looked up AGS-101 models on eBay even though I definitely don't "need" them.)
I could see kids, in particular, liking the look of the Mario Red & Blue system. Many of us are waiting for that elusive "Switch Pro" to come to fruition in some form or another. I even have money aside.
