Before I leave your house and say goodbye to your parents in Pokémon, I wonder when and where I'm going to have my first juicy Legendary. Legendary Pokémon are what we are all looking for. The super secret, super strong, and super intimidating post-game legendaries are so alluring. They are a bit hidden. They are powerful. They just have a mystique that makes you want to hunt them down, and Pokemon Shining Diamond/Shining Pearl adds even more Legendaries to acquire than in the original version of the game.
Here we explain how to get all hidden legendary Pokemon. Both Pokémon pets are exclusive to the version you purchase and are guaranteed to be caught by the end of the story. But, there are more Pokemon to unlock – completely optional and hidden Legendary Pokemon. All of the legendary Pokemon exclusively included in this remake can be found in the new Ramanas Park. We will also explain which Pokémon you can find randomly in this part of the game.

Legendary Pokemon Locations Guide
- Dialga: EXCLUSIVE TO DIAMOND BRILLIANT POKEMON – Encountered as you progress through the story. When you meet the leader of Team Galactic at spear pillar. After defeating him, you will then fight Dialga and catch them.
- Palkia: EXCLUSIVE TO SHINY PEARL POKEMON – Encountered as you progress through the story. When you meet the leader of Team Galactic at spear pillar. After defeating him, you will fight Palkia and catch them.
- mind: Lake Verity – After completing the story and defeating the Elite Four, travel to Lake Verity, a new exclusive post-game location. Mesprit is first encountered inside the Verity Lake Cavern. After the meeting, he will travel through the Sinnoh region. You can track its location via the tagging map in the Poketch.
- uxie: Lake Acuity – After completing the story and defeating the Elite Four, travel to Lake Acuity – a new exclusive post-game location. Uxie is first encountered inside the Acuity Lake Cavern. After the meeting, he will travel through the Sinnoh region. You can track its location via the tagging map in the Poketch.
- variety: Lake Valor – After completing the story and defeating the Elite Four, travel to Lake Valor – a new exclusive post-game location. Azelf is first encountered inside the Valor Lake Cavern. After the meeting, he will travel through the Sinnoh region. You can track its location via the tagging map in the Poketch.
- Cresselia: Full Moon Island – After completing the story, you will be able to access the Battlezone Town in the Battlezone region. Once you enter the Battle Zone, you will be able to acquire the National Pokedex.
- Talk to the sailor in Canalave who tells you about her sick child. Talk to the kid, then talk to the sailor again to get to full moon island. You will meet Cresselia here.
- After the encounter, use the Marking Map app to track Cresselia's location.
- Regigigas: Snowpoint Temple – After completing the story, you will be able to access the Battlezone town in the Battlezone region. Once you enter the Battle Zone, you will be able to acquire the National Pokedex.
- After getting the National Pokedex, Snowpoint Temple will unlock north of Snowpoint City. Go there and reach the lowest floor to meet Regigigas. He is sleeping.
- To wake up Regigigas and fight it, you have to bring regirock, regice, and Registeel. These three Pokémon can be caught in Ramanas Park, a new location connected to Route 221.
- Heatran: Stark Mountain – After completing the story, you will be able to access the Battlezone town in the Battlezone region. Once you enter the Battle Zone, you will be able to acquire the National Pokedex.
- Talk to male in the combat zone and follow the steps to reach Stark Mountain. After the sequence, return to Stark Mountain (at the end of Route 227) to fight Heatran again and capture him.
- Giratine: Turnback Cave – After completing the story, you will be able to access the Battlezone town in the Battlezone region. Once you enter the Battle Zone, you will be able to acquire the National Pokedex.
- This unlocks a new area called Sendoff Spring, to the right on Route 214. In this lake, you can find a cave called Turnback Cave.
- Read the pillar in each room. The number on the pillar corresponds to a direction of the pointers on a clock face. 12 corresponds to the north, 3 to the east, 6 to the south and 9 to the west. You must complete the maze in 30 pieces or less.
- If you complete the puzzle, you will meet Giratina at the end of the path.
More Legendary Pokemon | Ramanas Park
There are even more Legendary Pokemon you can earn by finding them in Ramanas Park, a new location exclusive to the remake. As with other Legendary Pokemon Hunts, you won't be able to access these Pokemon until you've completed the story. Ramanas Park is located in the extreme southeast of Sinnoh, connected to Route 221.
Depending on your version of the game, you will only be able to access certain Legendary Pokemon. Here's a quick list for both versions of the game.
