While Pokémon GO players might have their own event wishlist, Niantic always has different ideas, so it's time to enjoy Eevee Community Day again this time in August 2022. We've had one before , but a lot has changed since then, including the addition of a new Eeveelution to the game, so it only makes sense to have another big party for the fan-favorite Pokemon. And with two days of bonuses to enjoy, plus extra time for exclusive moves, there's plenty you need to know to prepare for the event. To help you out, here's our Eevee Community Day guide for Pokémon GO in August 2022.
Eevee Community Day Guide
We're going to break down each part of the latest Eevee Community Day event by answering some of the biggest and most frequently asked questions whenever these monthly celebrations take place. We start with the most important question for those who want to know how to prepare for Eevee Community Day: when is it.
When is Eevee Community Day
Eevee Community Day in August 2022 is a bit odd as it spans multiple days. As the name suggests, these usually only happen for a single day or even a few hours a day. This one will be different with bonuses available beginning Friday, August 13 at 10 a.m. PT, and it all ends at 10 a.m. Pt on Monday, August 16. However, the majority of the event takes place on Saturday and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 17 p.m. local time. These two 7-hour windows are the true Eevee Community Day experience, with all the big bonuses, including increased Eevee spawns in the wild. So try to play during these times and just be aware of bonuses that are active at other times as explained below.
What happens during Eevee Community Day, what are the bonuses

Is It Worth Evolving Eevee For Exclusive Moves
With all these exclusive moves, it can be difficult to decide which ones to use Eevee Candy on and which ones to ignore. And in the end, it all comes down to how you like to play Pokémon GO. Are you a collector who is always on the lookout for catches and rare finds? Next, you definitely want as many exclusive moves as possible, since they're only achievable during events or by using an Elite TM.
However, for the more competitive among you, you'll want to know which ones are useful in raids and PvP. All of them make their particular Eeveelution more powerful than if they didn't have their signature move, so keep that in mind. But not all Eevee are useful either, even once evolved. If you've run out of Eevee Candy, we recommend focusing on evolving Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon as they are most useful in PvP and PvE battles.
How to Catch Shiny Eevee
Shiny Eevee and all its evolutions will be quite common on Eevee Community Day. To catch one, you need to focus on all the ways you can encounter Eevee throughout the event. Check out any that spawn in the wild, then be sure to complete the Timed and Special Research, if you buy the ticket for the latter, as they will reward encounters or items that might be useful in catching more Shiny Eevee. With the increased shine rate and increased spawns, plus two days to find them, you should be able to catch Shiny Eevee multiple times before the event ends.
