As promised at the start of the Season of Mischief, Hoopa has arrived in Pokemon GO. This comes with the aptly named Hoopa's Arrival event, but players can catch this new Mythical Pokemon during or after this six-hour celebration. How to Catch Hoopa in Pokémon GO
Hoopa has been teased for quite some time, with many assuming that this new event won't actually result in his arrival. At least not in a form players can grab. However, it actually happened and should be available when the Hoopa's Arrival event starts on Sunday, September 5, at 11 a.m. local time. This will unlock the third stage, but actually only the second part of the Misunderstood Mischief Special Research story.

Currently only a few are available, so be sure to check back when others are unlocked. What we have so far is already enough, so here are the tasks you need to complete to catch Hoopa in Pokémon GO.
Step 1 of 16
- Make 10 pretty throws – an incense
- Use Incense (or Mystery Box) – 10 Poké Balls
- Take 3 snapshots of wild Psychic-type Pokemon – 10 Nanab Berry
Rewards: A Gothita encounter, 1 XP, and 000 Stardust

Wait for the Hoopa Arrival event on September 5.
Step 3 of 16
- Throw 5 Curveballs – 15 Poké Balls
- Catch 10 different species of Pokémon – 5 Great Balls
- Earn 5 Stardust – 000 Max Revives
Rewards: Hoopa encounter, 1 XP, and 000 Stardust
Once you complete this set of tasks, you can redeem your rewards and meet Hoopa. It will be a guaranteed catch, so throw the ball you want and it will eventually be caught.
