The start of Resident evil village brought back memories of Halo Reach when he simply asked me to survive the attack. This often simple task is complicated by a group of enraged werewolves who are determined to see Ethan dead. But you can overcome this surprise ambush, if you know some tricks. Here's how to survive the onslaught of Resident Evil Village.
How to Survive the Lycan Attack in Resident Evil Village
The key to surviving the onslaught at the start of Resident Evil Village is to remember that your goal is simply to survive. You don't need to kill all the werewolves, you just need to get out of this timed event alive. You'll know the assault is over when you hear a bell ring in the distance and a new cutscene plays. Before that, you must keep moving and concentrating at all costs to stay healthy and alive.
To do this, you have a few elements at your disposal, including the environment itself. The biggest and best advice we can give is to just keep moving. Werewolves or lycans can't eat what they can't catch, so if you're always a few steps ahead of them, you'll survive and succeed. If you're stuck somewhere, make sure you have your strongest weapons handy to take out werewolves that get too close.
The big house you come across at the start of the stage (west side of the map) is the best assist here. Inside you'll find a handful of different ammo and resources along with the shotgun. This powerful weapon will come in handy if werewolves get too close or pin you down. While you're in the house, you can either use its narrow hallways and doors to channel a few enemies, or block them inside and escape through a door or the ladder in the back room.
Outside, avoid enemies as best you can. Kiting them is always a good option, luring them around buildings or other obstacles and using them to slow down Lycans while you find alternate escape routes. If you can get inside some other buildings, they offer a high chance of shooting werewolves through closed windows. Just try to conserve ammo as best you can and remember that you can't kill every enemy.
This is especially true of the massive creature with the hammer. Avoid it at all costs because managing it would cost too many resources and you can't really win.
- keep moving
- Use the environment to your advantage
- Be ready to counterattack if necessary
- Avoid danger when possible
Keep all of this in mind and you will do just fine. And that's how to survive the attack of Resident Evil Village.
