Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order - How to Destroy an AT-ST

There are many iconic enemies from the Star Wars series, but one of the best known is definitely the AT-ST. Sometimes referred to as the Chicken Walker by some, AT-STs are the two-legged units used by Imperials to attempt to keep enemies at bay. There was little doubt that the AT-ST would appear in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, you first encounter one while trying to leave Zeffo for the first time. This guide provides strategies on how to take down the AT-ST, as you will face them more than once in the game.

How to Destroy an AT-ST

Fortunately, you don't encounter an AT-AT, just an AT-ST, which is much more manageable here. Going from any confrontation with the AT-STs in the game, you're going to want to be ready to deflect laser fire. This will be indicated by the guns glowing red, so be prepared. This won't be effective enough to defeat the AT-ST though, unless you want to drag this fight out for a very long time.

This means that you will have to get closer to you at some point, which can be dangerous in itself. In addition to laser shots, the AT-ST also has missiles that it fires. So be sure to avoid them when trying to get close to the enemy.

Once you get under the AT-ST, start attacking its legs as much as you can. You have to be careful though, as the AT-ST has two defensive mechanisms to protect itself from attacking up close. The former are bombs that he will drop and explode seconds later, while the others are electroshock fields that will fall to the ground and can knock you out. You have to be very careful not to be knocked out by the electroshock fields, because sometimes you will have the double misfortune of being knocked out and then hit by the bombs.

To avoid this, your best bet is to keep dodging by pressing B a lot on Xbox One when you're there. Keep attacking, but also stay defensive and you'll eventually bring down the AT-ST.
