Evolution Stones are some of the most iconic yet essential features in Pokemon games. Often they are used on a Pokemon like Eevee to turn it into Vaporeon, Flareon, or Jolteon. These stones are not exclusively related to them. For example, the Dawn Stone, a rather new item that has since appeared starting in Gen IV, is required to evolve Pokemon from previous generations. Here's where to find the Dawn Stone in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Where to find the Dawn Stone in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
There are three springs where you can find the dawn stone in the Generation IV remakes. Here are their sources:
Great Underground
Once you reach Snowpoint City, you can access a new section of the Grand Underground. Most Pokemon hideouts will be ice-themed, so plan your party accordingly to avoid any weaknesses.
In this region, head to the lower right corner of the map. Enter the hideout called Whiteout Cave. Search while avoiding Pokemon (unless you want to encounter them) and find the item nicely laid on the ground. Like many other vans you will encounter in the Great Underground, this item cannot be farmed by leaving and returning.
Route 225
Seulement West of the Survival Zone, climb the cliff near the Route 225 sign using Climb. You will face a Dragon tamer named Geoffrey. Upon defeating him, there will be another Dawn Stone that you can pick up directly behind him.
Mont Coronet
The easiest way to get there is to enter the huge mountain from Route 207. You will need the HM Surf to access the area with the Dawn Stone. From the entrance, head southeast until you come across a small body of water. Use Surf to cross this, and in a small patch of land to the right will be the other Dawn Stone.
After getting the Dawn Stone, you can evolve Pokémon as a Male Kirlia into Gallade or a Female Snorunt into a Froslass!
Pokemon Shiny Diamond and Shiny Pearl are now available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
