WoW Classic TBC (The Burning Crusade): Choose Aldor or Scryers?

You will have a lot to do in WoW Classic à confirmer (The Burning Crusade), and choosing which faction to follow, Aldor or Seers, will be one of the many choices you make during your adventure in Outland. These are two new factions introduced in the Classic expansion, and you'll be able to choose a side after reaching Shattrath City, Outland's main hub. take a look below to see everything you need to know about these two bands.

Which faction to choose in WoW Classic TBC (The Burning Crusade), Aldor or Scryers?

Before we start, let me add that you can actually change faction even if you chose another faction originally, but it will cost you a lot of effort and time, that's why it's not is not suggested. Make sure that the one you choose will be the one that will follow you throughout your journey in WoW Classic to be confirmed.

That said, let's continue. You can earn reputation for both teams in the same way. Complete quests for the respective faction or turn in their branded resources. These are Sunfury Seals and Arcane Tomes for Scryers, and Marks of Sargeras and Fel Armaments for Aldor.

Since improving their reputation doesn't make much of a difference, the real dilemma you'll have will be based on their benefits to your class. If you don't care, you can go all out for the story and choose the one you like the most, based on its values and ideology. I'd stick with class perks, but it's your choice in the end.

These perks come in various forms, like different enchantments and gear that you can get as rewards. Each faction has their own unique items to provide to anyone who raises their reputation high enough, so it's good to take a look at what they offer, before you even decide. If you want the short version, Aldor is better for melee DPS classes and tanks, while Scryers lean towards healers and casters. It really depends on the class, as there are a few exceptions, so below I'll share Armory data from 2022-2022, in regards to what players preferred during the original release of The Burning Crusade :

Aldor

  • Hunter – All Specs
  • Warrior – All Specs
  • Priest – All Specs
  • Paladin – All Specs
  • Rogue – Subtlety
  • Thief – Combat

Clairvoyants

  • Warlock – All Specs
  • Mage – All Specs
  • Shaman – All Specs
  • Thief – Assassination
  • Druid – All Specs

If Blizzard doesn't change anything about what Aldor and Scryers offer as rewards, which I highly doubt they would, then this information should be relevant even now. Also, you can't actually choose any of these as you progress through WoW Classic to be confirmed, but there's no reason to because you'll lose a lot of potential good gifts. Plus, you can even get an extra Tabard depending on your choice, which is always a nice bonus for all that decision-making.
